Our national non-profit organization has been established, is in place and is currently seeking qualified Directors and board members to contribute to the advancement of this vital mission.

Board Chair / President

Role & Responsibilities:

The board chair leads the board by setting meeting agendas, facilitating discussions, and ensuring that strategic decisions align with the nonprofit’s mission and long-term goals. Chair will serve as the principal liaison between the board and the executive director, and act as the public face of the organization.


Vice Chair / Vice President

“Join us as we shape a more compassionate, sustainable, and accessible path for youth treatment across Canada.”

Role & Responsibilities:
The vice chair supports the board chair and steps in whenever the chair is unavailable. VC/VP will also lead specific committees or initiatives, encouraging continuity in leadership and participation in strategic tasks.

Board Secretary

Role & Responsibilities:
The board secretary is responsible for accurate record-keeping, documenting meeting minutes, managing official correspondence, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Secretary will maintain the organization’s bylaws and other foundational documents.


Board Treasurer

Role & Responsibilities:
Position oversees the financial affairs of the organization. The treasurer works closely with the executive team to prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, and report on the financial health of the organization.

At-Large Board Members

Role & Responsibilities:
Members will provide diverse perspectives and expertise in fundraising, legal affairs, community outreach, or marketing. Active participate in committees and strong contribution to strategic decision-making required.

 

Building a Front-Line Team:


Executive Leadership

  • Executive Director / CEO – Oversees the entire organization, sets strategic direction, manages operations, and ensures financial sustainability.
  • Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring programs and services run efficiently.
  • Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Oversees financial planning, budgeting, and compliance with nonprofit financial regulations.

Program & Service Delivery

  • Program Director – Designs, implements, and evaluates nonprofit programs to ensure they align with the mission.
  • Case Manager / Social Workers – Provides direct support to clients, helping them access services and resources.
  • Volunteer Coordinator – Recruits, trains, and manages volunteers to support nonprofit initiatives.

Fundraising & Development

  • Development Director – Leads fundraising efforts, donor relations, and grant writing to secure financial support.
  • Grant Writer – Researches and writes grant proposals to obtain funding from foundations and government agencies.
  • Major Gifts Officer – Cultivates relationships with high-value donors to secure large contributions.

Marketing & Communications

  • Communications Director – Manages public relations, branding, and outreach efforts to promote the nonprofit’s mission.
  • Social Media Manager – Oversees digital engagement, creating content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Event Coordinator – Plans and executes fundraising and awareness events.

Administrative & Support Roles

  • Human Resources Manager – Handles hiring, training, and employee relations within the nonprofit.
  • Finance & Accounting Staff – Manages bookkeeping, payroll, and financial reporting.
  • Office Manager – Ensures smooth daily operations, handling logistics and administrative tasks.
